PNP Sets Up US$10,000 Fund To Help Jamaican Students In Ukraine

The People’s National Party (PNP) has established a US$10,000 emergency fund to assist Jamaica students trapped in Ukraine.   It says the money is intended to help the students with transportation, food and other necessities.    PNP President Mark Golding says he has made contact with Prime Minister Andrew Holness to see if the funds can be routed through the Ministry of  Foreign Affairs, to ensure that the efforts are coordinated and seamless.    The party says Mr. Golding has already provided a personal donation to cover the cost of purchasing train tickets for Jamaican students who are seeking to get to Poland.
