Ottis Gibson has become the second West Indian to be named bowling coach of Bangladesh after the local cricket board confirmed the Barbadian as the replacement to Charles Langeveldt who is now South Africa’s bowling coach. Gibson will be in charge of Bangladesh‘s fast-bowlers on a two year contract. This will be Gibson‘s first international coaching role since his tenure as South Africa’s head coach ended in August 2019. Before the South Africa stint, Gibson had served as West Indies coach as well as two terms as England’s fast-bowling coach. Fast bowling legend Courtney Walsh is the other West Indian who has done a stint as Bangladesh bowling coach.
